How LISA Integration Testing works

To deliver reliability, you must to be able to test every aspect of your integration layer - and LISA natively tests against every access point of ESB systems in ways that no other solution can, whether those are JMS messages, or Services running on the bus, or connection databases. LISA exercises and expose the services that were once "black boxes" running inside ESBs, to ensure complete quality throughout development and deployment.

Benefits

  • Native support for leading ESB vendors: Messaging is the core connection point for any distributed application. LISA's enhanced Integration Testing capabilities provide end-to-end testing for JMS messaging frameworks. Out of the box, LISA provides a complete testing platform for the integration “backbone” provided by leading vendors, including IBM MQ, TIBCO ActiveMatrix/BusinessWorks/Rendezvous, Software AG / webMethods Integration Server and Broker, BEA AquaLogic, Oracle FUSION, Sun JCAPS, Progress Sonic and others.
  • Breaks the barriers of ESB testing. Exit the code-compile-run-curse cycle. LISA becomes a point-and-click interface to publish and subscribe to JMS queues, so you'll never write a test client again. LISA provides the instant feedback of exercising and watching the message bus in a real-time way. Experience the responsiveness and agility you can only get while you are building, testing and maintaining JMS frameworks with LISA.
  • Supports integration processes. As you continue to integrate and migrate systems, store LISA test cases as verifiable regressions and artifacts in your SCM, or application lifecycle tool of choice. LISA tests can be launched directly from a command line script (or JUnit/Ant) or many leading process and test management tools.
  • Collaborate for continuous integration and SOA testing. While integration test creation often requires a developer-level understanding of messaging frameworks, LISA's no-code test management allows non-development testers and business analysts to iteratively on testing much earlier in the project lifecycle, and reuse Integration tests as a part of validating larger Business Process and Continuous Validation tests in LISA.
  • Ensure interoperability across multiple layers. Invoke a messaging action in the ESB, then track and verify resulting behaviors across all layers of the integration, from the UI, to web services and underlying application servers and systems of record.
  • Powerful extensibility. By nature, enterprise integration projects involve non-standard custom or legacy technologies that need to be pulled into the workflow with confidence. Using the LISA Extension Kit, developers can rapidly test-instrument these components so they be tested as easily as any other standard test step in your infrastructure.

The increased breadth and depth of LISA Integration Testing, along with iTKO's methodologies and test assets for specific platforms, gives customers better risk management over their software delivery life cycle, along with improved reliability and cost benefits over the long term. LISA provides for complete, collaborative and continuous testing of shared deployments can that span multiple divisions and business partners.
