LISA Features

Too many technologies to count? Test the ones that count with LISA.

To test SOA, you need to go far beyond merely testing a user interface, or debugging source code, as the highest risk of failure occurs at the points where multiple technologies are connected. The advance of web services (WSDL/SOAP) are one important enabler of many SOAs, but if you're only testing web services, you are not testing the entire technology stack that makes up the application. What transactions are happening at the messaging (ESB) layer? Is the right result being reflected in the database? Does your AJAX web application behave correctly?

In fact, many perfectly valid SOA applications house business logic entirely outside of web services - for instance a Swing UI talking to EJBs connected with messaging applications, talking to an ERP system or CORBA app for transaction logic.

LISA is a unified SOA testing platform that contains the ability to deeply analyze and test most middle-tier and front end components of SOA applications, through integrated LISA modules that were developed to work together seamlessly, when your testing needs expand. Read more on the specific technologies LISA can test.

Business Process Assurance

CORBA
A key new feature of LISA 4 is out-of-the-box testing of CORBA objects. Many SOA systems leverage important logic through CORBA over RMI, and other legacy technologies. Contact iTKO and let's talk about your specific needs.

Databases
Don't just validate the application. Verify your database results as well. LISA offers point and click management of JDBC datasets, commands and expressions, and lets you invoke any ordered or random data within your test case.

Dynamic Load Testing

Java Objects and RMI
Java code and RMI have never been easier to instrument and test. LISA natively understands and lets you talk to these objects without coding, meaning you can iteratively test during development and after deployment.

JEE/J2EE/EJB
If you're testing J2EE servers and EJB, nothing comes close to LISA. Her no-code native interaction with all leading Java platforms lets even non-developers functionally call and verify EJBs, while developers can get deep metrics and validation from any Java server at new levels of efficiency.

JMS/ESB
LISA's ESB testing both monitors the JMS messaging layer and simulates live activity natively across all major ESB platforms. Test system response times while functionally validating message content as it flows across every distributed component within your workflow.

LISA Validation for SOA Governance Platforms (UDDI, Registry, Repository)

.NET
Never code another test client or maintain a test script again. .NET development teams can achieve new levels of test efficiency and effectiveness by testing both dynamic web applications and the .NET services they interface with.

Virtual Service Environment

Web Apps (HTTP)
No-code visual test capture, playback and maintenance, with powerful logic and component testing that won't break when the dynamic data behind the web page changes. Simulate custom user conditions and browsers to validate your site beyond the interface. See also LISA's RIA Features.

Web Services (WSDL/SOAP) Testing
Web services no longer have to wait for a test client to be testable. LISA accelerates every phase of web services testing, offering live interaction, compliance checks, automated functional and performance testing, with rich XML instrumentation and direct feedback from any SOAP object.
