Federal Agencies Seek out iTKO LISA to Certify Shared Technology

Leading SOA testing solution provider gains significant ground in defense industry and public sector

Dallas, TX, September 10, 2007 - iTKO, Inc., a leading provider of testing solutions for SOA (Service-Oriented Architecture) software, today announced that its LISA Complete SOA Testing Platform is gaining wide acceptance among government organizations seeking a complete, collaborative and continuous testing environment for service-oriented applications (SOAs).

SOA offers the promise of increased asset reuse and rapid time-to-value by combining resources in a more dynamic shared environment, a best practice defined as "Net-Centricity" in the defense industry. However, in order to realize the benefits of these enhanced, more agile capabilities, all of the communities of interest involved in publishing and consuming reusable component assets must establish a shared level of trust that the services will meet mission-critical requirements when combined.

"As Federal agencies continue to move toward SOA as a means of establishing Net-Centricity across organizations and technologies, we are tasked with helping them leverage many unique technology assets to provide new capabilities in a common, shared environment," said Bernal Allen, Director, SOA Enterprise Campaign at Raytheon, a leading government technology solutions provider. Raytheon's Integration Center (RIC) has incorporated iTKO LISA in the Raytheon Federated Development Certification Environment in support of DOD's transformation to NetOps. "iTKO's LISA SOA testing framework provides a sophisticated platform for certifying and validating SOA assets in a complete, continuous, agile development cycle, thereby helping organizations realize the trust necessary to rely on new functionality delivered by combining service component assets."

The iTKO LISA software suite offers a complete solution for testing SOA applications. It offers a single, comprehensive quality platform that maintains business context to test all of the distributed layers that make up today's SOA software. With LISA, enterprises can continuously test every technology layer of SOA throughout the development and deployment lifecycle. Unlike conventional UI- and code-oriented testing tools, LISA was designed explicitly to test the many heterogeneous components and workflows that make up SOA applications.

"Achieving a reliable SOA infrastructure across federal agencies takes more than just rigorous testing," said John Michelsen, founder and Chief Architect, iTKO. "By establishing a best practice of creating enforceable shared policies using LISA as a certification platform, we can foster trust among all stakeholders, across multiple agencies."

iTKO executives will be speaking and presenting LISA solutions at upcoming Federal industry events, including MILCOM 2007 (www.milcom.org). The company has also promoted education for this space with several published articles and a new whitepaper on Federated SOA testing (available at http://www.itko.com/site/resources/whitepaper.jsp).
