iTKO | Software Testing Quality Assurance Testing Tools

iTKO Joins SOA Link

DALLAS, Texas - July 10, 2006 - Innovative End-to-End SOA Testing Provider Supports Multi-Vendor Interoperability Initiative

iTKO, Inc., a leading provider of complete testing solutions for SOA (Service-Oriented Architecture) software, today announced it has joined SOA Link, an initiative for the purpose of making multiple SOA product vendors' offerings interoperable. Organizations already associated with the initiative include AmberPoint, HP, Infravio, IONA, JBoss, NetIQ, Parasoft, webMethods and others.

iTKO offers a complete, collaborative and continuous approach to testing SOA solutions, allowing multiple business technology layers to be exercised within a single test case. iTKO's mission is to allow everyone involved in IT to own software quality; from development, to QA and business analysts as well as application management and support. The company is focused on delivering testing solutions for SOA applications, where the future of enterprise development is headed.

By joining SOA Link, iTKO plans to promote the concept that everyone should own quality and should be working to enhance the quality of SOA applications. Participants in SOA Link benefit by having the ability to publish services and associated policy to a system of record in a standardized way, and to be alerted to changes when they happen.

"SOA Link gets to the heart of what we have been trying to accomplish," said Jim Mackay, chief marketing officer, iTKO, Inc. "Companies are trying to leverage the critical components within their existing applications as well as to blend them with emerging technologies for a competitive edge. While the current standards enable widespread adoption of SOA, supporting the ever-growing set of integration points between the elements of the infrastructure increases the complexity and risk of enterprise development. SOA Link ensures that all of these organizations work together for interoperability so the end user will be able to better integrate Service Oriented Architectures into their businesses. It is a win-win for everyone involved."

SOA Link does not mandate a single API for interoperability. It is a public statement by partnered vendors which says they will provide interoperable solutions to their customers. A customer buying SOA Link solutions can be assured that these products will work together to solve the problem of end-to-end SOA Lifecycle Governance.

"We are happy to have iTKO join our organization," said Miko Matsumura, vice president of technology standards at Infravio, Inc. (organizer of the SOA Link initiative). "The more quality vendors that we can get to work together and publish services, the more widely adopted SOAs will become. Service Oriented Architectures are the present and future of business. This concept ensures vendors involved in all facets of SOAs come together to work as a community, which ensures a long and successful future for this revolutionary technology."
