Cox is one of the leading US cable, Internet and communication service providers, with more than 6 million subscribers. One critical component of its complete service offering is Cox Wireless, which manages the provisioning of wireless telephone and data services for customers, leveraging both its own network resources and those of third-party carrier networks from partners. More than 70 developers work on building mobile enablement applications for the company in its Operations Support Systems (OSS) division.
Cox Wireless used LISA to create Virtual Services to simulate the behavior, data and performance characteristics of Oracle's CRM (Siebel), AIA and platform components, as well as simulating 3rd party services from their carrier partner's mobile provisioning system at minimal cost and effort.
